Eddie The Eagle Soars Once Again At 1988 Winter Olympic Site

Earlier this week, Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards once again leaped into action at the Calgary Winter Olympic Park, where he created worldwide fame during the 1988 games.

The event was run by British tour operator based in the South West of England, Kicking Horse Powder Tours and it followed a week of skiing with Eddie around Kicking Horse resort. Calgary Olympic Park hosted the event on Sunday March 5, 2017, almost thirty years after Eddie first leaped to fame in the 1988 games.

Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards commented:

It was fantastic to go back to the place where I have so many memories from the ’88 winter games. The reception from the people in Calgary has been amazing too and it was great to catch up with old friends. I look forward to going back again in the future.
