Join Olympic skier And Star Of BBC’s Ski Sunday, Graham Bell, On An Exclusive Heliskiing Adventure In Italy

Five times winter Olympic Downhill Ski Racer and BBC’s Ski Sunday presenter, Graham Bell, is hosting a one-off heliskiing adventure in Alagna, Italy this March.

The four night off-piste trip has been organised by established tour operator, James Orr Heliski and includes three days of off-piste skiing with a qualified Mountain Guide as well as a full day of heliskiing that includes two drops.

Graham will be accompanying the group – for which there are a maximum of 12 places available – every day, including the heliski day that will be decided based on weather conditions at the time. During the other three days, the chance to explore the off-piste terrain of the Monterosa region provides the opportunity for guests to brush up their off-piste skiing skills and enjoy the vast terrain that spans the Aosta Valley and Piedmont regions of the Northern Italian Alps.

Graham Bell said:

The Monterosa region is one of the best off-piste ski areas in Europe and one of my personal favourites, so the chance to combine that with heliskiing was too much of an opportunity to miss. I’m really looking forward to hosting a group in March and sharing a little bit of my knowledge of the area with them and of course, skiing some fantastic terrain together.

The trip has been put together by James Orr himself, who has been running heliskiing trips to worldwide destinations for over fifteen years, with Alagna becoming more and more popular as skiers from the UK recognise the quality and convenience of the Monterosa area and he said:

Alagna is such a fantastic place to ski; the off-piste terrain is second to none in the Alps and even without a helicopter there’s enough to keep anyone occupied for weeks. But having the chance to access some of that terrain that’s difficult to get to by helicopter means an even more exciting adventure to look forward to – then add Graham into the mix and you have the ultimate heliski trip of a lifetime.

Dates: Thursday March 1st, to Monday March 5th, 2018

Cost: £1,875 including 4 nights half board accommodation on a twin basis (breakfast and dinner with wine), return group transfers from Milan Malpensa Airport, three days off-piste skiing with a guide, one day’s heliskiing and two drops with a guide, daily ski hosting with Graham Bell, transceiver rental.
