Chez Bear Re-Launches With New Ownership For The 2017-18 Winter Season

Serre Chevalier ski lodge, Chez Bear, has been re-launched for the 2017-18 winter season with new British ownership and management.

The restored 17th century farmhouse sleeps up to 12 people and is located high above Briançon, providing spectacular views across the Guisane Valley and the Serre Chevalier ski area.

New owners, Josy and Joe Davis, previously ran another chalet hotel in Serre Chevalier, but decided to take on Chez Bear to focus on the luxury end of the market. Joe said:

We have a big job to keep up the fantastic reputation that Chez Bear has built up, but with our previous chalet experience and local knowledge, we feel we can continue the magic here. Our food will focus on Italian and French influences with fresh, seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally. We’re really looking forward to welcoming our first guests of the winter on the 16th December, which is already sold out, although Christmas and New Year weeks are still available on an exclusive bases.

Prices start at £8,000 for exclusive use of the chalet that includes, 7 nights half-board accommodation (6 nights with dinner – 5 course evening meal prepared by a private chef, including house wine), afternoon tea, open bar, in-resort transfers.

Other services are available, including airport transfers (Turin Airport), ski school lessons, ski lessons with Darren Turner, equipment hire and ski passes.
