Action Outdoors Launch New 2018-19 Winter Holidays Today With Early Booking Offers Available

Action Outdoors, the UK arm of non-profit French sports organisation, UCPA, has launched its new winter holidays for the coming season including a series of early booking offers (valid until August 27) on selected courses.

Short stay ski breaks start from £244 per person for full-board accommodation.

The holidays go on sale on Monday July 16, 2018.

Selected Holidays Include

Early winter ski – Val Thorens, 29 November, 2018, 3 nights, £244 per person including full-board accommodation, 3 day ski pass, equipment hire. Get out to the snow early in Europe’s highest ski resort.

Late season break – Val Thorens, 30 April, 2019, 5 nights, £476 per person including full-board accommodation, 3 day ski pass, equipment hire. Spring skiing in Europe’s highest ski resort.

Best value ski instruction weeks – available in Tignes, Val d’Isère and Val Thorens, from April 20 and 27, 2019, £583 per person including 7 nights full-board accommodation, 6.5 day ski pass, equipment hire, 12 hours of ski instruction. Great value ski holidays including half day instruction.

Chamonix Off-Piste including Valley Blanche – Chamonix, from 2 February to March 29, 2019, from £893 per person including 7 nights full-board accommodation, 6.5 day ski pass, equipment hire including off-piste safety equipment, 23 hours of guiding and ski instruction, transfers to other resorts. This holiday is for experienced off-piste skiers only and includes skiing in Italy and a descent of the famous Valley Blanche off-piste itinerary.

Introduction to Off-Piste Skiing – Chamonix, 30 March, 2019, £764 per person including 7 nights full-board accommodation, 6.5 day ski pass, equipment hire including off-piste safety equipment, 23 hours of guiding and ski instruction. This holiday is ideal for skiers who would like to try off-piste skiing for the first time. Skiers should already be able to ski confidently on red runs and easier black runs.

The classic Haute Route – Argentiere, 23 March and 13 April, 2019, £1028 per person including 6 nights full-board accommodation in the UCPA Centre, Argentiere and mountain huts, 6 days guiding, touring equipment including boots, crampons, harness and rope (touring skis and skins available with a further cost of €100, return from Zermatt). Ski tour the classic Haute Route between Chamonix and Zermatt over 6 full days – expert off-piste skiers only.

Introduction to Ski Touring and Ski Touring Technique – Argentiere, from 22 December and throughout the winter, from £718 per person, 7 nights full-board accommodation, equipment hire, 6.5 day ski pass, 23 hours of instruction. Suitable for intermediate level skiers and upwards who want to learn how to ski tour safely.

Freestyle Academy (Skiing or Snowboarding) – Val Thorens, weeks commencing 19 January to 9 March, 2019, from £894 per person, including 7 nights full-board accommodation, 6.5 day 3 Valleys Lift Pass, 23 hours of instruction, equipment hire. A great way to learn freestyle technique – suitable for intermediate skiers or snowboarders who have done at least 5 weeks on the snow.
