The Ski Club of Great Britain is offering a free three month membership to anyone that signs up for the new Snowsport England Way2Snow initiative that launched this week from 2 June and runs until 31 August, 2025.

Way2Snow is an affordable way for people that have never skied or snowboarded before. For a total of £299 (adults) and £249 (age 11-16), beginners can fully prepare for a skiing holiday on the snow with 12 lessons one of the partner indoor slopes that include Chill Factore in Manchester, SnowDome in Tamworth or The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.

There are also tailored sessions for those with disabilities and additional needs, available to book through Disability Snowsport UK.

On top of tuition, the Way2Snow package includes:

  • Free ski/snowboard, boots and helmets with every lesson
  • Exclusive savings on winter sports holidays with Neilson and Crystal Ski
  • Exclusive discounts on equipment and clothing from Snow+Rock, Ellis Brigham and The Snowboard Asylum (TSA)
  • Free Ski Club of Great Britain membership – including access to huge ski communities and year-round discounts (memberships runs for 3 months)
  • Half price Snowsport England membership – with a huge number of benefits for those just starting out in snowsports
  • Free tickets to the UK’s largest snow shows this autumn

A percentage of Way2Snow fees will go towards both Disability Snowsport UK and Snow Camp, a charity that helps young people turn their lives around through the power of snowsports.

James Gambrill, COO of the Ski Club of Great Britain, said:

“This is a great initiative from Snowsports England and we’re delighted to be involved. The Ski Club is the world’s oldest skiing club, but incredibly relevant now, where we help our members with saving money on and off the slopes, providing information about destinations and of course helpful advice on all aspects of skiing and snowboarding – even more crucial for first timers heading off for their first ski holiday”.

James Arnold, CEO of Snowsport England, shared his enthusiasm for the programme:

“Snowsports are the perfect sport to try for fun, whatever your age or fitness level. Similar to the Couch to 5K programme, Way2Snow is specifically designed to take someone with little or no experience to a proficient level, guided by expert instructors at all three centres at a heavily reduced price. For us, getting more people to try snowsports for the first time is a great way to build momentum ahead of the next Winter Olympics, which is now only a few months away.”

Virginia Anderson, CEO of Disability Snowsport UK, added:

“Skiing and snowboarding are very accessible for all kinds of learners; it’s all about the right equipment and instruction tailored to your needs. Through Way2Snow, Disability Snowsport UK hopes to provide one-to-one tuition to many more disabled people and learners with additional needs.”

The Way2Snow programme launched at the start of June. Packages will be redeemable until 31 August 2025. To find out more – including how to book your package – visit
