The proportion of British skiers and snowboarders choosing short ski breaks has increased by around 67% over the past two seasons, with around 15% of the market taking a break of four nights or fewer during winter 2024-25, compared with more than 25% during the 2025-26 season.*

This significant shift towards shorter ski holidays has been reflected in growing demand for SkiWeekends’ short-break and flexible holidays, prompting the operator to increase capacity for winter 2026-27.

Two new catered chalets in Argentière will expand SkiWeekends’ ‘classic chalet holiday’ programme and strengthen its position in a resort where accommodation has traditionally been dominated by luxury properties and self-catered options.

The new chalets will offer guests the combination of a fully catered chalet experience, flexible arrival dates and short-break options in one of the Chamonix Valley’s most sought-after ski locations.

SkiWeekends also continues to operate catered chalet accommodation in Val d’Isère, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Morzine and Courchevel – all with the same goal, to provide a convenient way to maximise ski time on the slopes. Guests can also choose a variety of accommodation options across twenty French ski resorts, eight Austrian resorts, six Swiss resorts and two Norwegian resorts. All chalet holidays include return shared airport transfers.

NEW ski-in/ski-out catered chalets in Chamonix Valley
SkiWeekends has added two new ski-in/ski-out catered chalets in Argentière in the Chamonix Valley for winter 2026/27, both located at the foot of the Grands Montets ski area.

Chalet Hideaway 1 sleeps 6-8 guests in three bedrooms and includes an outdoor hot tub with mountain views. Chalet Hideaway 2 is the larger property, sleeping 10-14 guests across five bedrooms, with an outdoor jacuzzi, indoor sauna and plunge pool.

Both chalets are available either by the room or for sole occupancy, with flexible stays of 3, 4, 6 or 7 nights. Prices start from £432pp for three nights, including SkiWeekends’ Classic chalet board and shared return Geneva Airport transfers.

The location provides quick access to the Grands Montets lifts, with the shops, bars and restaurants of Argentière less than a 10-minute walk away. The chalets are also next to the Panda Club children’s ski area, making them suitable for families with younger skiers.
