Action Outdoors, the UK brand of the not for profit UCPA group has launched a number of holidays where the centres will exclusively host the 18-30 age group only.

The holidays will be heavily discounted and provide an opportunity for younger people to go skiing or snowboarding at an ‘affordable’ price.

Prices start at £481 per person, all-inclusive, which means 7 nights’ accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, full area lift pass for 6 days, ski or snowboard equipment rental for 6 days and guiding and instruction at set times for more experienced skiers and snowboarders, whilst beginners will be offered full time instruction through the week.

There’s five different resorts and UCPA centres participating in the new programme, including Val Thorens, Serre Chevalier, Chamonix, Les Deux Alpes and Tignes – all major world class destinations with large skiing areas and extensive après ski options.

For the five dates set aside in each resort, the UCPA centre will exclusively only host the 18 to 30 age group, with the centres sleeping 100’s of people each, in typically shared rooms of four people. Meals are served three times a day and include extensive buffets with healthy options and several courses, hot and cold dishes and vegetarian options. The centres all have their own bars, creating a fantastic atmosphere during the evening when in-house entertainment is provided.

David Robertson, Managing Director of Action Outdoors, said:

“Obviously the UCPA is already well-known for its great value and great quality programme across the French Alps, but this new offer for the 18-30 age group is taking a real lead at a time when everyone’s pockets are being stretched, but especially for younger people. We know there’s parents out there that can afford to help their grown up kids, but what about those that don’t have that option? For under £500 they can have a fully inclusive week in a major ski resort in France and for young skiing enthusiasts who are looking at all the other prices rising, we hope this will be good news for them”.
