This week saw the fifth edition of The Winter Laun This week saw the fifth edition of The Winter Launch Networking Party – and it was our biggest and best one yet! 🎿❄️ Hosted by thewhiteoutpodcast.com, @skipress and @inthesnow_magazine, more than 160 VIPs from across the snowsports industry and media joined us at The Fable in Farringdon on Monday night to kick off the winter season. Alongside some serious networking, our guests got the chance to try their luck at the Ski The American Rockies roulette table (not real money, of course!), get their picture taken on the @snow.swings and be wowed by one of the UK’s best magicians, @robertfoxlive. And then there were the prizes… One very lucky guest won a pair of @head_ski skis signed by Dave Ryding @dave_ryding – and presented by Dave himself on the night. Other fantastic prizes included a pair of @salomon ski boots with a fitting at @profeetcustom, a huge @ospreyeurope roller bag and, from our event gear sponsor @shackletonofficial, a Fortuna ski jacket worth £795. A serious bit of kit. Lucky winners! But the biggest shout-out has to go to our brilliant event supporters. Our headline sponsors, Jungfrau Ski Region @jungfraujochtopofeurope and Grindelwald Tourism @grindelwald_eiger, led the evening and shared their passion for this very special ski area in the heart of Switzerland. 🇨🇭 A huge thank you too to everyone from Ski The American Rockies – @bigskyresort, @coloradoskicountryusa, @jacksonhole, @visitparkcity, @skiutah and @sunvalley – who make such an effort to join us and always bring so much energy to the event. Our PR Director, Rob Stewart, recently took a grou Our PR Director, Rob Stewart, recently took a group of UK journalists on a 4 day trek around Les 3 Vallées known as the tour of l’Aiguille de Fruit, which is a 3048 metre spectacular rocky peak within the Vanoise Massif and between Courchevel and Méribel. There’s 3 nights in a set of mountain refuges including Lac Merlet, Refuge du Saut and de Grand Plan. For anyone that hasn’t stayed in a French mountain refuge before, although they vary in size and comfort levels, one thing remains the same – friendly hospitality, great home style food and plenty of wine if you have the energy. There was some tough but rewarding hikes along the way including some incredible cols with views across to Mt Blanc and beyond, but all worth the effort. Toping and tailing the trip involved 2 very comfortable nights at the Lodji Hotel in Saint Martin de Belleville during its annual craft beer festival and 1 night in the lovely Ecrin Blanc in Courchevel Moriond. #les3vallees #presstrip #alps #hiking #mountainRefuge
It was great to see so many industry friends atten It was great to see so many industry friends attend Les 3 Vallées winter launch at its new Saint Pancras venue, a building steeped in history and the UK's rail link to Paris and the Alps. The event combines a B2B session between the 7 resorts of Les 3 Vallées and travel operators and journalists, with a party through the evening attended by 150 people.
