Action Outdoors, the UK arm of the not for profit UCPA holiday organisation, has launched its new 2024-25 winter season family holidays in 6 French ski resorts.

The holidays have gone on sale this week to the general public after being offered first to previous UK customers of the UCPA – some holidays have already sold out but there’s still plenty of availability across Christmas, New Year, February half term and Easter dates.

Like all UCPA holidays, they are all inclusive with accommodation, meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner, full area lift pass, ski or snowboard equipment hire and instruction, included in the price.

Break that price down and it’s very clear to see the value the UCPA offers families.

UCPA centres include bar and restaurant facilities and they have their own in-house ski school, the second largest in France. Family accommodation is in a family room, typically with a bunk bed style set up and often an en-suite bathroom, but not always. The food is a very important part of the UCPA’s offer, with extensive buffets for lunch and dinner and choices for meat, fish and vegetarians, healthy options, cheese boards and desserts. Skiers and snowboarders can rent their equipment within the centres own hire shops, with everything included in the package price they pay.

Destinations for family ski holidays with Action Outdoors this winter include, Flaine, La Plagne, Les Contamines, Les Deux Alpes, Serre Chevalier and Valloire.

Adult prices start from £614pp including 7 nights full-board accommodation, 6 day lift pass, equipment rental, instruction and guiding (Easter 2025). Christmas week starts from £657pp. Reduced prices available for different age groups from 16 and under.

Travel to resorts is not included in the price, but return airport transfers can be booked with Action Outdoors starting at £70pp from Geneva Airport. EasyJet fly from London Luton and London Gatwick to Geneva (plus other UK airports) with adult prices starting at around £150 return over the Christmas week in 2024 (Saturday to Saturday). SWISS and BA also fly from UK airports to Geneva. Driving from Calais to Flaine takes approximately 9-10 hours.

Partner company of Action Outdoors, Snow Express, runs coaches directly to UCPA resorts from London, departing London Victoria on Friday evening and returning the following Sunday, tying in with UCPA family ski weeks. Prices start from £179pp return, including luggage.
