Monthly Focus: Chalet Louis
Chalets1066 specialises in accommodation purely in the mountain destination of Les Gets – a ski and summer resort just one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport.
Its flagship chalet, Louis, is a new 5 bedroom property with stunning views and a large living space. It’s our chalet of the month and we take a look at why we’ve picked it out.
With its large living area and views across the valley, Chalet Louis is one of the finest properties in the area and during the winter, is just a 50 metre walk away from the slopes. But it’s not just for winter – the 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom chalet makes an ideal summer base for a family (or two) or a large group.
It can be taken on a self-catered basis or with other services, such as a private chef, built on top. During the summer, there’s always a little more time for cooking and the large kitchen in Chalet Louis will entice anyone to prepare a meal for the guests that can comfortably sleep 10.
The double height windows provide views to Les Gets and across to Mont Chery and there’s a second living area and TV space too.
Chalets1066 is a British owned and British / French run operation that was established in 2008. It has become the largest independent chalet operator in Les Gets and has an innovative and forward thinking approach to mountain holidays, being a leader in creating flexible catering solutions before many others.
Founder of Chalets1066, Mark Nathan, said:
“Chalet Louis is the jewel in our crown when it comes to large chalets in Les Gets. It really is an outstanding property in a fantastic location, high above the town with sweeping views down the valley. For families and groups it’s the ideal winter or summer holiday base and it’s proving to be one of the most popular chalets out of them all. We are very proud to have Chalet Louis in our collection”.
Chalet Louis owner, Mark Willoughby, said:
“Staying in Chalet Louis is such a special experience for us. We love being perched high above Les Gets, with jaw dropping panoramic views of the skies, mountains and the village, and watching the weather rolling up the valley, and goats roaming in the meadow in the summer. We have discovered there is so much more to do in Les Gets than just skiing and the list of activities, challenges and places to see, are endless…and it’s all authentic, nothing feels commercialised. We have created the most magical family memories as our children have grown up at Chalet Louis and we have all been able to experience the great outdoors at its very, very best. We all simply love it!”
